Lots of Love… Under the Sea
I have a new family member! Meet Kennedy Elle, my cousin’s sweet baby girl.
I made Kennedy a special swaddle blanket. I painted each character in watercolor to match her “under the sea” theme. I also included “Lots of Love” and “xoxo” in our Nani’s handwriting from a card I saved.
I had this pattern printed on 2 yards of muslim fabric, and my mom cut and sewed this into a swaddle blanket, a burp cloth, and a double-sided scarf to decorate the top of her book shelf.
I know our Nani would have absolutely loved to hold her first great grandchild. Although I am so sure she is watching from Heaven, I wanted to make something for Kennedy that would include her great grandmother. I envisioned a swaddle blanket with our Nani’s handwriting so Kennedy could be wrapped in her love.
This pattern is so playful and sweet. It has meaningful elements, that came from the hands of Kennedy’s great grandmother Lois, aunt Terry and aunt Monica. We all love you lots Kennedy! xoxo
